All across the United States there is a shortage of mental health therapists. As diagnoses get more specific and treatments more advanced, the number of therapists trained in specialized treatments get fewer and fewer. It is our mission and goal to do everything we can to alleviate this problem.
Cornerstone is not only a group private practice but also a teaching organization that introduces and trains new clinicians, interns, and established clinicians in the anxiety-based diagnoses and their specific evidence-based treatments. We are dedicated in working and training individuals in OCD and related disorders. Interns will learn a comprehensive understanding of anxiety formation, and treatment. While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the standard evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders, clients must be understood from a bio-psycho-social perspective. Therefore, training is approached from Psychodynamic, Existential, and Family Systems, in addition to CBT orientations. |
